Our Future
If we as a nation wish to live together, to work together, and to succeed in thriving together, then we are obliged not only to comprehend the significance of our common humanity, but also to understand the substance of our shared history. Racial tension together with limited knowledge of American history heighten the threat of conflict throughout the entire country. A learning program at a Virginia Historic Landmark provides significant value in possible solutions. Education in American history and in a unique and little known documented history in the Shenandoah Valley offers broadened understanding of both history and heritage.
